Huddersfield Town are closing in on a new signing, with Ipswich Town striker Jordan Rhodes reported to be a target.
Ipswich boss Roy Keane revealed earlier this week that he had recently turned down an offer for Rhodes, who impressed on loan at Brentford last season.
Keane had been happy for the teenager to stake a claim for a first-team spot at Portman Road in the coming campaign after recovering from injury.
However, reports claim Rhodes is set to hold talks over a move to Huddersfield, with Terriers boss Lee Clark confirming he is aiming to wrap up a deal.
"We have had reports done on different people while we've been out doing our scouting and Rhodes is a player like hundreds we have watched over the months," Clark told the Huddersfield Examiner.
"There is a huge list of players at the club who we have had watched.
"All I can say is that there was a little bit of movement yesterday on a player we were talking to and a deal is possibly a little bit closer.
"But until the contracts are signed these days you are better off not making any comment because you never know what can happen."
