Lejsal confirms Robins trial

Czech Republic keeper Martin Lejsal has confirmed he is joining Bristol City on trial.

Johnson brings in Czech shot-stopper

Czech Republic keeper Martin Lejsal has confirmed he is joining Bristol City on trial. The Robins are currently low on number one options with Adriano Basso, Dean Gerken and Stephen Henderson all out of action. Manager Gary Johnson already has Slovakian keeper Peter Brezovan on trial, although it seems he will now have competition to win a contract. Lejsal is well aware of City's goalkeeping crisis and hopes he hopes can start the campaign as their number one. "From Tuesday I'm on trial with Bristol City," he told Brno's official website.

Real chance

"According to the information I've been given I should have a real chance of being their number one keeper at the start of the season." QPR are also said to be interested in Lejsal and Brno's goalkeeper coach Josef Hron is expecting him to find an English club. "I think there's a 90 per cent chance Martin will stay in England. It just remains to be seen who he joins," said Hron. "According to his agent there are more clubs interested."
