Bristol City have completed the signing of Lewin Nyatanga for an undisclosed fee from Derby County.
Skysports.com revealed on Tuesday that the 20-year-old was in talks with City regarding a proposed switch.
The defender has now penned a four-year deal with the Robins and goes straight into Gary Johnson's squad for Wednesday's glamour friendly against Ajax.
The Wales international is a product of Derby's academy system and made over 130 appearances for the Rams during his time at Pride Park.
However, he is now set to take on a new challenge at Ashton Gate and Derby boss Nigel Clough believes the youngster will flourish with the Robins.
"Lewin is a terrific lad and a good professional and I'm sure he will do well at Bristol City," he said.
"We are looking to make changes to the squad and by allowing Lewin to move it gives us more flexibility with re-shaping our defensive positions.
"On behalf of everyone at Derby County we wish Lewin all the best for the future."
