Ipswich Town boss Roy Keane has identified new transfer targets after missing out on two potential signings.
Keane had been tipped to raid former club Sunderland by bringing Dean Whitehead and Daryl Murphy to Portman Road in a double deal.
However, Irish striker Murphy is expected to join Hull City, while midfielder Whitehead is a reported target for Stoke City.
Having been denied in his quest to add two new faces to his squad, Keane has confirmed he is now exploring other options.
"We did have two players in mind to bring to the club and we were hopeful something could be sorted," Keane told the club's official website.
"But that has not come to fruition.
"We will now look elsewhere and I have already identified other targets."
