Peterborough United have cancelled the contract of defender Chris Westwood by mutual consent ahead of a proposed move to Wycombe Wanderers.
Westwood was placed on the transfer list by Posh at the end of last season following the club's promotion to the Championship.
He has now secured his release from his contract and the centre-half is expected to join League One side Wycombe later this week.
Posh director of football Barry Fry told the club's official website: "Chris has been a key member of our squad in the last two seasons and has helped us with our back-to-back promotions.
"He joined us with an excellent track record of promotions and I hope he goes on to help Wycombe Wanderers achieve their aim.
"I would like to thank Chris for his excellent service and commend him for his attitude and application over the period he has been with us."
The 32-year-old made 61 appearances for Peterborough after joining from Walsall in 2007 and he also spent two months on loan at Cheltenham Town last season.
