Paul Quinn has expressed his delight after finalising his move from Motherwell to Cardiff.

Skysports.com revealed on Tuesday that the Bluebirds were close to pushing through a deal for the highly-rated defender.

The Championship club then agreed a fee with their SPL counterparts and have now officially announced the capture of Quinn.

He joins on a three-year contract and is looking forward to the start of the new season after spending the whole of his career to date at Fir Park.

"It's nice to get the deal done and I'm delighted to be here," Quinn, 23, told the club's official website.

"After speaking to Cardiff and coming down to see the new stadium, I was sure this was where I wanted to be.

"I'm just looking forward to getting settled in Cardiff now and starting pre-season training.

"It'll be great to meet all the lads and start work and I'm really looking forward to starting the new season."
