Cardiff are closing in on the signing of Motherwell defender Paul Quinn, skysports.com understands.
The Bluebirds have made an offer for the full-back and are hoping to thrash out a deal for the 23-year-old.
Quinn is highly regarded having come through the youth ranks at Fir Park to captain the club.
Cardiff have been tracking Quinn for some time and they have now made their move to lure the player to Wales.
Quinn's agent, Kenny Moyes confirmed a deal was close to being agreed with the player keen on a move to Cardiff.
"The two clubs are talking and I believe they are close to agreeing a fee for Paul," Moyes told skysports.com.
"We are now waiting for the green light to go down there and hold talks with Cardiff.
"Paul is keen on the move to Cardiff as he is ready for a new challenge after spending the whole of his career at Motherwell and he is ready to play in the Championship."
