Rob Kozluk has snubbed interest from Crystal Palace in favour of penning a new contract at Barnsley.
The 31-year-old had been offered a three-year deal by the Eagles, but has opted to sign a 12-month extension to his terms with the Tykes.
The experienced defender was also reported to be interesting Nottingham Forest, but claims he never had any intention of leaving Oakwell.
"It's fantastic to be staying because I never wanted to leave," said Kozluk.
"The fact I turned down a long contract at Palace shows my commitment to this club.
"I'm confident that we can be successful next season."
