Holloway eager to work with experienced striker

Blackpool striker Brett Ormerod has signed a new contract to extend his time at Bloomfield Road. Ormerod returned for a second spell with the Seasiders in January from Preston North End and scored twice in 15 appearances. He has now agreed a new 12-month contract, with the option of a further season, and Blackpool boss Ian Holloway is happy to retain the 32-year-old. "I am delighted that Brett has signed again," Holloway told the club's official website. "He was a key player in the side that did well for the club towards the end of last season. "He wants to be here and is everything Blackpool stands for. He is one of the most hardworking players I have come across and his work rate was evident in the DVDs I have watched and scout reports I have seen. "Everyone I have spoken to has nothing but praise for him and I can't wait to work with him and the rest of the squad."
