Skysports.com understands Preston are lining up a move for Crystal Palace midfielder Neil Danns.
Preston boss Alan Irvine is keen to bolster his options for next season after losing to Sheffield United in the Championship play-off semi-finals.
Danns is thought to be among his top transfer targets, with Irvine an admirer of the attacking midfielder.
The 26-year-old joined Palace from Birmingham in January 2008, but he has failed to hold down a regular place in the side.
Palace could be tempted to offload Danns for the right offer so that they can fund their own transfer plans.
