Leeds manager Simon Grayson has issued a hands-off warning concerning Doncaster-target Neil Kilkenny.
Rovers have now had two approaches turned down for the 23-year-old Australia international, who opted to join Leeds ahead of Doncaster when he left Birmingham in January 2008.
Grayson insists the midfielder is important to his plans next year and he is surprised Doncaster's interest has been reported in the media.
The Leeds boss said: "I was surprised to see it come out publicly. It is true that Sean O'Driscoll rang me about Neil. Doncaster also enquired last January as well.
"Neil is an important part of our team. He did well when we he came into the side and I was pleased with him.
"He will be an important player for us next season as well and we want to keep our better players."
