Preston have shunned two bids from Nottingham Forest for Paul McKenna.
Former Preston boss Billy Davies is keen to rekindle is relationship with the midfielder and is looking to take him to the City Ground.
But Preston do not appear keen on striking a deal with their ex-boss.
"I can confirm that we have rejected two bids from Nottingham Forest for Paul McKenna," North End chairman Derek Shaw said.
"I am extremely disappointed that Nottingham Forest have chosen to make this public."
