Hooper and Fotheringham not in Coleman's plans

Coventry boss Chris Coleman has rejected talk that he is interested in signing Gary Hooper and Mark Fotheringham. Reports had suggested the Sky Blues were keen on Scunthorpe striker Hooper and midfielder Fotheringham who is available on a free transfer after he was released by relegated Norwich. Coleman has moved quickly to dampen the speculation insisting he has no plans to bid for the pair. "There is no truth in Hooper and there is no truth in Fotheringham," Coleman told the Coventry Telegraph. "There will be stories about some of our players leaving that won't be true and there will be stories about players we are going to sign and they won't be true, but there is nothing we can do about that. "Out of respect to the players we are after and their clubs, I won't mention their names, but we are looking to bring in players."
