Leicester City have confirmed an interest in signing Bristol City goalkeeper Chris Weale on a free transfer.
Weale is soon to be out of contract at Ashton Gate and no decision has yet been made on a possible extension.
He has recently been on loan at Yeovil Town, who have been linked with a permanent move for the shot-stopper.
However, Yeovil could miss out to Leicester after Foxes chairman Milan Mandaric revealed Weale is a target for the League One champions.
Mandaric said: "He is one of the targets our goalkeeping coach has got.
"He's got very, very big positive marks when we saw him, so he is one of our targets.
"It is no secret to our supporters, who we are quite open with, that we need a good goalkeeper."
