Neil Warnock has admitted that Norwich winger Lee Croft will probably not be moving to Crystal Palace over the summer.
Croft will be out of contract at the relegated club from next month and a number of teams are thought to be interested in snapping up the 24-year-old.
Palace manager Warnock believes that fellow Championship club Derby will win the race for the former Manchester City player's signature.
But it is understood he is still keen on bringing another Norwich player, midfielder Wes Hoolahan, to Selhurst Park in the near future.
"Croft is one we are interested in, but it looks like he is going to Derby. I still need to speak to Bryan (Gunn) about other matters," Warnock told the Croydon Advertiser.
Reports suggest Warnock is likely to use striker Alan Lee, who spent the end of the season on loan at Carrow Road, as part of a swap deal.
