Midfielder Adam Nowland will miss Notts County's remaining League Two fixtures after undergoing back surgery.
The 27-year-old has had a procedure to correct a disc problem and will miss Saturday's home match against Dagenham and the Magpies' final game of the season at Wycombe next weekend.
The Magpies are confident the operation will help to resolve the problem and Nowland will be ready to continue his Meadow Lane career next term.
"Adam has had the procedure to correct the problem and it was a success," physio Paul Smith told the club's official website.
"He is up and about already and after three weeks he will be able to crack on with his rehabilitation work."
Nowland made 21 appearances for Ian McParland's side this season.
