Bristol City goalkeeper Stephen Henderson earned himself a new deal with an eye-catching display against Ipswich on Monday.
The 20-year-old has had to bide his time with first-choice stopper Adriano Basso making the position his own in the last few seasons but the young Irishman seized his chance against the Tractor Boys.
After Basso had hobbled off in the ninth minute Henderson came on to deny David Norris, Giovani dos Santos and Ivan Campo with a string of fine saves.
The former Aston Villa trainee, whose current contract expires in the summer, was finally beaten from the spot in the 90th minute as Dos Santos salvaged a -1-1 draw for the visitors after Marvin Elliot had fired the Robins into an early second-half lead.
"Stephen had a terrific game," manager Gary Johnson told The Sun, before revealing that he would offer his charge a new contract the end of the campaign.
Henderson added: "I don't care how long the contract is for - I am very keen to sign."
