Lewin Nyatanga has revealed the positive impact of manager Nigel Clough at Derby County this season.
The Championship strugglers appointed Clough as successor to Paul Jewell in January and the former Burton Albion boss has gone on to boost the fight against relegation.
Twenty-year-old Nyatanga is in no doubt that his form has improved under Clough, but he feels the entire Rams squad has benefited from the managerial change.
"My game has improved because I have had a good run of matches this season under the new manager," the defender told the Derby Telegraph.
"I am enjoying my time now at Derby. I have been in the side consistently and that has been really good for me. Nigel Clough has made a difference. There is a more relaxed atmosphere and everyone seems to be enjoying things more.
"There is a smile on people's faces and we are playing in a more relaxed manner. If you are enjoying your work then it comes across in the way you play.
"The manager is very calm, he wants everyone to enjoy their football and to be positive about things."
