Doncaster striker joins Carlisle on one month loan deal

Doncaster have allowed striker Gareth Taylor to join League One side Carlisle on a month-long loan deal. The 36-year-old has found himself out of favour at the Keepmoat Stadium in recent weeks with his last appearance coming off the bench against Norwich in January. Carlisle will be the veteran's 13th club of his long career and he will look to edge them further away from the drop zone in League One. United currently sit 17th in the league just four points off the relegation places with no win in three league games. The former Manchester City striker has started 11 times for Doncaster this season but is yet to score. The club also announced that they have extended the loan stay of Barnsley goalkeeper Kyle Letheren. The stopper has been providing cover for first choice Neil Sullivan while Ben Smith has been sidelined with injury.
