Swansea have opted to recall Shaun MacDonald from his loan spell at League One outfit Yeovil.
The midfielder had been enjoying a productive spell at Huish Park, scoring two goals in four games, including a winner against Huddersfield on his debut.
He has made just a handful of appearances for the Swans this season, prompting the decision to send him out on loan.
However, with Roberto Martinez struggling with a mounting injury list at the Liberty Stadium he is set to head back to south Wales.
The Swans are so depleted at present that he could be awarded an immediate return to Martinez's starting XI in a home clash with Charlton on Saturday.
