Sheffield Wednesday have signed Michael Gray on a permanent basis from Championship leaders Wolves.

Gray joined the Owls on a month-long loan deal in early January and has made four appearances during his time at Hillsborough.

The former England international, who can play at left-back or in midfield, has signed a contract until the end of the season.

Owls boss Brian Laws has been delighted with Laws' impact since his arrival and is happy to have extended his stay at the club.

"I am really pleased that we have been able to secure the services of Michael on a permanent contract," Laws told the club's official website.

"He has already shown the supporters that he has a lot of quality to bring to Sheffield Wednesday and has had a hand in many of the goals we have scored since his arrival."
