Defender Brown joins Leicester on loan

Leicester City have announced the signing of defender Wayne Brown from Hull City. Skysports.com revealed on Thursday that the 31-year-old was poised to leave Hull after falling down the pecking order at the KC Stadium. A number of Championship sides had been interested in Brown, but League One outfit Leicester have won the race to secure his signature. Brown has joined the Foxes on an initial loan deal, with a view to a permanent move at the end of the season. Manager Nigel Pearson told the club's official website: "Wayne played a major part in Hull's promotion to the Premier League last season and his experience will be invaluable to us. "He is a player that I have admired for a long time and I am delighted to have him on board."
