Brentford are hoping to arrange a deal to keep Ipswich Town striker Dean Bowditch at Griffin Park.

Bowditch has scored twice in nine appearances for the Bees, but his loan deal expired after last Saturday's 2-2 draw at Lincoln.

However, Brentford boss Andy Scott is eager to come to an agreement with Ipswich which would see Bowditch rejoin the League Two club.

"We'd like to keep Dean and he'd like to stay, but there are a number of factors," said Scott.

"I've spoken to Ipswich, but it's not just about what they say, there are financial considerations for us too."

Having made just one appearance for Ipswich this season, Bowditch confirmed he would be keen to link up with Brentford again.

He told Ipswich's official website: "I've not spoken to the manager here yet, but Brentford want me to go back and I'd like to go back there if Ipswich are happy with that.

"I enjoyed it there and was playing games every week and that is what it's all about. You train all week to play a match on the Saturday."
