Carlisle United have agreed a deal to sign Preston North End winger Joe Anyinsah for an undisclosed fee.
The 24-year-old is set to undergo a medical at 11am on Friday and, should he pass, he will put pen-to-paper on an 18-month deal at Brunton Park, as revealed by skysports.com on Thursday.
Anyinsah spent three months on loan with United in 2007 and impressed sufficiently to tempt the club to move for a permanent deal.
And manager Greg Abbott is looking forward to working with Anyinsah, telling Carlisle's official website: "Joe is a player that we know all about.
"He brings pace and power and a bit of creativity, and he can chip in with the odd goal or two, and I'm very pleased that we have managed to bring him in to the club.
"We saw last time just how much of an impact he can have on a game when he is on the top of his form and we'll be looking for more of the same again.
"He's an exciting player and I'm looking forward to working with him."
