Kris Boyd's move to Birmingham City from Rangers is on hold as the striker is struggling to agree personal terms with the Championship side.
Earlier on Wednesday, Sky Sports News broke the story that Birmingham had agreed terms with Rangers for the freescoring front-man.
It was expected Boyd would be in the Midlands on Thursday to undergo a medical at St Andrews but this has now been cast into real doubt.
Boyd's agent engaged in contractual discussions with the club's board on Wednesday but failed to thrash out acceptable terms for his client.
It is not thought the move is dead but for the moment it would appear it has reached a stalemate.
Should the transfer be resurrected Rangers will receive a fee in the region of £3.8million.
