Tykes let striker return to Peru to be close to family

Barnsley have allowed striker Miguel Mostto to return to his native Peru and join Total Clean Futbol Club. Mostto signed from Peruvian side Cienciano in 2007 on a free transfer but has failed to settle in England due to his family still living in Peru. The 29-year-old was hit with the news that his son fell seriously ill in the summer and the Tykes have granted him his return home for an undisclosed fee. The striker failed to make an impression on the first team this season with eight of his 10 appearances coming from the bench. "We are disappointed to see Miguel leave the club," Barnsley manager Simon Davey told the club's official website. "But sometimes you have to do things which are in the best interests of the player and he needs to be back with his family."
