Port Vale manager Dean Glover has hinted he could sign on-loan midfielder Dave Brammer permanently in January. Brammer returned to Vale from Millwall over a month ago, but has missed the club's last four matches due to a knee injury. However, he has undergone a minor operation and Glover hopes the 33-year-old could return to action before his current loan spell expires in the New Year. "It's good news with Dave," Glover told the Sentinel. "He had a minor operation on his patella just to clear out a bit of rubbish that was there. "He had a slight tear in his cartilage which has been cut away, so hopefully he'll be back in three weeks. "He may be a free agent in January. We've done a deal with Millwall in that we don't pay them until he plays again. So he's still our player. "As for January, we'll have to see what line Millwall go down and whether they decide to pay him up. "But if he plays well for us other teams will also be looking at him."
