Birmingham City have agreed a deal to sign Irish midfielder Keith Fahey in January from St Patrick's Athletic.
Blues boss Alex McLeish admitted last month that he was keen to bring the 25-year-old back to English football.
Fahey started his professional career at Arsenal and then joined Birmingham's local rivals Aston Villa before returning to Ireland.
He has impressed for St Pat's and has now signed a pre-contract to link up with Blues on 2nd January.
A three-and-a-half year deal has been agreed with the dead-ball specialist who will add a touch of creativity to the club's push for promotion back to the Premier League.
