Striker switches from Bristol City to Championship rivals

Bristol City striker Steve Brooker has switched to Championship rivals Doncaster on a month's loan with a view to a permanent transfer. Rovers have moved to bolster their firepower as they sit just a point off the bottom of the table. His loan move lasts until 28th December and he could make his debut against Watford on Saturday.

Fit

City boss Gary Johnson told the club's official website: "He needs to get fit and for that he needs games. This loan is with a view to a permanent signing." The 27-year-old has spent four years at Ashton Gate - scoring 37 times - after joining from Port Vale. But some of this period has been affected by injury and he spent time on loan at Cheltenham earlier this year to regain match fitness, scoring five times in 14 appearances.
