Derby County will have a look at young Irish right-winger James O'Shea this week ahead of a possible move.
The 20-year-old Galway United player will train with Paul Jewell's side this week under the watchful eye of the Rams boss.
A fee, believed to be around £320,000, has been agreed between the clubs if Derby decide to keep the youngster.
Former Wigan boss Jewell may have the chance to see O'Shea in action on Tuesday should he feature in a behind-closed-doors match against Crewe at Moor Farm.
"We are having a look at him for a week. If we like what we see and he likes us, maybe we can do a deal," said Jewell.
