Shrewsbury Town have landed Southampton striker Jamie White on a one-month loan deal.
White has made three appearances for Saints this season and was given his debut against Derby County in August.
He has not featured for the Championship strugglers since the end of September and has been allowed to link up with Shrewsbury.
The 18-year-old will be involved against Chesterfield in League Two on Friday night and Shrews boss Paul Simpson is happy to have concluded the deal.
"We are lacking that little bit of pace in the squad and that is why I've decided to let Michael Symes go out on loan and to bring a young lad in from Southampton called Jamie White," Simpson told the club's official website.
"Jamie is 19 next week and is very sharp, can play either as a wide player or down the middle or even as a midfield player. He is a good football player who I am looking forward to getting to work with.
"I've seen clips of him playing and people I know have given me good reports, at the moment he is scoring goals for the reserves and is one of number of players who come out of the youth set-up there and that they have high hopes of."
