Midfielder eager to get back to playing first-team football

Millwall midfielder Dave Brammer has returned to Port Vale on a one-month loan deal. Brammer previously played for Vale between 1999 and 2001, and has been training with the League Two club for the past week. He has not made a first-team appearance for Millwall this season and could feature in Vale's game with Lincoln City on Saturday. "Dave is looking forward to getting back to playing games again," Vale boss Dean Glover told the club's official website. "We have assessed his fitness and he doesn't look that far away.

"The lads are pleased he is here because he is a different kettle of fish in a sense, with his experience and his quality on the ball. "All the lads are pleased he is with us and not against us. Somebody of Dave's experience and quality will be an asset for us. "He wants to play games, like any footballer does and he wants to get to get back in the shop window. "His contract at Millwall is up at the end of the season and he needs to prove he still has something to offer at a good level."
