Swansea boss Roberto Martinez intends to open contract talks with five members of his squad.
The Spaniard is keen to avoid leaving those concerned sweating over their future until the end of the season.
As a result, Martinez is hoping to have any potential deals in place prior to the opening of the transfer window in January.
The five players concerned are Dorus de Vries, Matty Collins, Dennis Lawrence, Kristian O'Leary and Andrea Orlandi.

"All their situations are important to me," Martinez told the
Evening Post.
"I don't like to leave players not knowing what's happening and I will be reviewing every one in December.
"I always like to see where the players are prior to the transfer window before the summer when contracts are up. I don't like players not knowing where they will be and I'll sit down with each one of them before January.
"That doesn't mean they are all going to get new contracts, but we need to discuss what's best for each player and for the club."
Progressing
Talks have already begun with de Vries, who has proved to be a reliable goalkeeper since arriving at the Liberty Stadium on a free transfer from Dunfermline in 2007.
Martinez has been impressed by the Dutchman since his switch to South Wales and hopes the 27-year-old will choose to remain with the Championship club.
"The idea of the club is obviously to try to keep Dorus for as long as we can," he added.
"He has been fantastic for us and he is still progressing as a keeper.
"You don't get too many footballing keepers like Dorus, who can act as an extra player when we're in possession.
"We have been speaking about a new deal for a while now and, if and when something's done, we will put it out."
