Injury setback for Otsemobor

Norwich boss Glenn Roeder expects Jon Otsemobor to be out for 'a period of time' with an ankle injury.

Full-back set to miss at least three games with ankle injury

Norwich City boss Glenn Roeder expects Jon Otsemobor to be out for 'a period of time' with an ankle injury. Otsemobor was hurt during last weekend's 2-1 home defeat by Derby County and scans have shown ruptured ligaments in his ankle. He is expected to miss the Canaries' next game at Bristol City, but Roeder fears it could be several weeks before the full-back is fit to return. "Jon's very unlikely to make Bristol City and potentially he could miss all three matches," Roeder, whose team face Wolves and Doncaster after the trip to Ashton Gate, told the Eastern Daily Press.

Real bad luck

"He's ruptured ligaments in his ankle, very similar to John Kennedy's injury, and it's badly swollen. "I can't say exactly how long he will be out. There is no point saying three weeks in case it's four weeks - he's going to be out a period of time. "It's real bad luck for everyone, not just Jon. You don't want players injured because you want pressure on everyone's place."
