Derby County duo Robbie Savage and Gary Teale have rejected loan moves to Brighton & Hove Albion.
Savage has been made available for loan by Derby boss Paul Jewell after not making a first-team appearance for a month.
Teale will also be allowed to leave Pride Park, with the winger having recently returned from a loan spell at Barnsley.
Brighton boss Micky Adams, who briefly worked with Savage at Leicester City, has confirmed asking to sign the Derby duo.
Not for Sav
"I have spoken to Robbie about coming to Brighton, but he has a number of options and he is considering those," Adams told the club's official website.
"Paul Jewell had agreed for him to come in principle, but that was before we beat Manchester City and set up our (Carling Cup) third round tie with Derby!
"I also enquired about Gary Teale, Derby's Scottish winger, but he rejected the offer - but that was more for personal reasons more than footballing ones."
However, Jewell has confirmed Savage has rejected a move to the League One club, saying: "Brighton asked about him, but it wasn't for Sav."
