Crystal Palace have signed Craig Beattie from West Brom on a one-month loan deal.
Beattie moved to the Hawthorns from Celtic in July 2007 but struggled to make a major impact and was loaned out to Preston towards the end of last season.
The Scotland international has not been able to command a regular role for the Baggies this term either and has made just two appearances as a substitute in the Premier League.
He will now link up with the Eagles until late October and is relishing the opportunity to get a few matches under his belt.
Crystal Palace are currently languishing in 21st place in the Championship but Beattie hopes he can help revive the team's fortunes.
"I had a call to say Crystal Palace wanted me to come down and I was delighted to be getting the chance to have some games," Beattie told Palace's official website.
"I am looking forward to the chance to help the club climb the table and hopefully that can start straight away this weekend at Portman Road (against Ipswich)."
