Oldham midfielder looking to earn deal
Oldham midfielder Jean-Paul Kalala is hoping to earn a deal with Plymouth following a trial spell.
The Congo international was told by John Sheridan at the end of last season that he was free to look for a move away from Boundary Park.
He had joined the Latics from Yeovil in 2007 but struggled for form and fitness.
Kalala is now looking to get his career back on track and was invited to Plymouth last week.
Argyle had planned to have a look at the 26-year-old in a reserve game but bad weather forced a postponement.
Kalala will nevertheless hope that he did enough in training to secure a possible loan switch.
Plymouth boss Paul Sturrock has threatened to wield the axe with his side currently bottom of the Championship table, and will be considering new recruits.
