Sky Sports News understands that Crystal Palace have accepted a bid from Stoke for Tom Soares.
The Potters are keen to strengthen their squad before the transfer deadline and have identified the 22-year-old as a possible target.
It is understood they have now made an offer of £1.5million which has met Palace's valuation of the player.
Stoke will be hoping they agree terms with Soares and push through a contract before midnight on Monday.
Tony Pulis has been busy trying to bring in new faces on deadline day, having already failed in an attempt to sign Joe Ledley from Cardiff.
Stoke are also looking to bring back Danny Higginbotham from Sunderland and are believed to be on the verge of striking a deal.
