Lens midfielder looking for a new challenge

Derby County have handed a trial to French midfielder Julien Sable, who is hoping to leave Lens. Sable recently trained with Blackburn Rovers and Lens have confirmed he has now headed to Championship club Derby. Rams boss Paul Jewell is keen to increase his midfield options, despite making a wealth of signings over the summer. Grenoble have also shown an interest in Sable, who is torn between moving abroad or accepting an offer from the Ligue 1 new boys.

Hungry

"I am keen to leave for abroad," Sable told France Football. "I have appreciated my trials at Verona and Blackburn. I had very positive feedback. "The Grenoble challenge is attractive to me. The club really wants me, and I want to bounce back. "I had several phone conversations with the coach and I appreciated his words. "However, the situation has reached a standstill, but both clubs are still in touch. "Any door is opened. Just give me a shirt. I am so hungry to be playing, I am keen to work like a dog for that shirt."
