Craig Noone has expressed his delight after sealing a move from Southport to Plymouth.
The 20-year-old midfielder only joined Blue Square North side Southport earlier in the summer.
But Noone had already caught the eye of Plymouth scouts during an excellent season for Burscough last term.
He has now moved to Home Park for an undisclosed fee which could eventually rise to in excess of £100,000.
Noone has agreed a two-year deal and is relishing the prospect of becoming a professional player with Paul Sturrock's team.
"I knew Plymouth had been to a few of my games," he said. "It was a shock to me but I was delighted and excited.
"It's just sinking in now that I'm going to be full-time. It'll definitely make a difference, training every day.
"It'll certainly make a change from working and having to play a game on a Tuesday evening after being at work since 6am."
