Stockport have completed a loan deal to bring Stephen Gleeson back to Edgeley Park.
The 20-year-old is currently on the books of Championship side Wolves, but enjoyed two successful spells at County last season as the Hatters secured promotion to League One.
Jim Gannon is delighted to have secured the services of the Republic of Ireland international for a further six months, and admits that he is continuing his search for further fresh faces.
"He'll be with us for half the season, and he'll give us that extra strength and quality across the midfield line," he told the Manchester Evening News.
"Unfortunately Jason Taylor is going to be out for seven to eight weeks - he's had an operation on his left foot - and Paul Turnbull has injured his groin muscle and he could be out for a couple of weeks, so we need that extra strength.
"We're also looking to strengthen the goalkeeping department and at a couple of attacking options. I'm pleased with the way we are progressing but if we had more options we'd be able to freshen things up and keep the tempo high."
