Former Arsenal youngster heads to Carrow Road

Norwich City have confirmed the signing of Fiorentina striker Arturo Lupoli on a season-long loan. Skysports.com revealed earlier on Tuesday that the former Arsenal youngster was on his way to Carrow Road. Lupoli has now passed a medical with the Championship club and is looking forward to playing for Glenn Roeder's side. "I am very happy to be here and hope to contribute for a great season for Norwich City and to be successful," the Italian told the club's official website.

Feels wanted

"I spoke to the manager and I really feel that he wants me here. "I know a lot about Norwich City - I was with Arsenal when they and my team-mate David Bentley were in the Premier League and have followed their progress." The 21-year-old spent the 2006/07 on loan in the Championship with Derby County and made his debut for the Rams against Norwich. He scored 11 goals during his time at Pride Park before opting to leave Arsenal last summer to join Fiorentina on a free transfer.
