Plymouth Argyle winger Peter Halmosi is on the verge of completing his move to Hull City.
West Bromwich Albion and Sheffield United were both reportedly monitoring Halmosi's situation at Home Park.
However, Premier League side Hull appear to have won the race to secure the Hungarian's signature.
Tigers manager Phil Brown confirmed that Halmosi is due to undergo a medical and hold contract talks after a fee, reportedly in the region of £2million, was agreed for his transfer.
"Peter has come up for a medical and hopefully to agree terms" Brown told the Hull Daily Mail.
"I don't want to announce anything and it's been found out that he's been here.
"But it's one of those where a deal has been agreed between the two football clubs and that will remain between the clubs until it is announced.
"The lad is here for talks and he will now go through a medical process."
