Clinton Morrison is set to leave Crystal Palace after deciding not to accept the club's offer of a new contract.
Neil Warnock had wanted to keep Morrison at Selhurst Park and opened talks with the player towards the end of last season.
The Republic of Ireland international was offered a new two-year deal but he has yet to give Warnock an answer.
And the Palace boss has now decided to withdraw the offer as he expects Morrison to move on in the very near future.
The 29-year-old has been a free agent since the start of the month and has not returned to the club for pre-season training.
Warnock told the South London Press: "Clinton has not accepted our offer so it's no longer on the table.
"I assume he must have found himself a new club."
Morrison has been linked with Championship rivals Coventry and Queens Park Rangers.
