Hull boss Phil Brown has confirmed he is to make a bid for Wolves midfielder Seyi Olofinjana 'in the near future'.
The Premier League new boys are eager to bring in fresh faces as quickly as possible, in a bid to have a settled squad in place ahead of their debut top flight campaign.
Olofinjana has long-since been a target of Brown, who sees the powerful Nigerian as the ideal man to anchor his side's midfield next term.
The 28-year-old has made 135 appearances for Wolves since arriving in the Midlands from SK Brann in 2004, and has been transfer listed at his own request as he is keen to play in the Premier League.
Brown has already engaged in discussions with Wolves counterpart Mick McCarthy with regards the player's valuation and is now readying a bid.
"We'll be tabling a bid for Olofinjana in the near future," Brown told the Express & Star.
"We have spoken to Mick McCarthy on a couple of occasions so we know what Mick's valuation of the player is."
