Owen Coyle has insisted he knows nothing about reports linking him with a move for Derek Riordan of Celtic.
The 25-year-old striker was a target for the Clarets in January but Coyle failed with a £400,000 bid.
Fresh speculation has suggested that Coyle still wants to bring the former Hibernian forward to Turf Moor.
However, the Burnley boss maintains that he is no longer interested and has not been tracking Riordan for months.
"I don't know where it has come from but it's certainly not from anyone at Burnley Football Club," said Coyle.
"It's well-documented I tried to sign him in January but there has been nothing since."
