Preston North End boss Alan Irvine has denied holding an interest in Wes Hoolahan and Kaspars Gorkss.
Hoolahan has left Blackpool to join Championship rivals Norwich City, while Gorkss has also been tipped to quit Bloomfield Road.
Blackpool have reported Queens Park Rangers regarding their interest in the defender, and Norwich have also been linked with a bid for Gorkss.
Reports claimed Preston were also keen on the duo, but Deepdale manager Irvine says he did not make any plans to sign either Gorkss or Hoolahan.
Irvine told the Lancashire Evening Post: "I think Hoolahan is a good footballer, but I wasn't quite sure where he would fit in our team to be honest and we never made an enquiry about him.
"As for Gorkss, I'm aware of him but, again, we haven't made any contact with Blackpool to try and sign him.
"I don't know where these stories linking us with both of them have originated from, but they aren't true."
