Chairman Duffen insists club will not enter 'bidding war'

Hull City chairman Paul Duffen is adamant the club will not enter a 'bidding war' for Plymouth Argyle winger Peter Halmosi. The Hungary international has caught the eye of Premier League side Hull, but The Tigers reportedly face competition from both West Bromwich Albion and Sheffield United. Plymouth are speculated to value Halmosi at around £3million, however the growing interest in the player's services could force that fee even higher. But Duffen has explained that Hull have other potential transfer targets on their radar, should Halmosi's valuation rise out of their price range. He told the Hull Daily Mail: "We're not going to get into a bidding war because we've got lots of options. "There are very few must-have players available but there are a number of nice-to-have players out there - and Halmosi is one of those. "We have a number of options available and we're very relaxed about things."
