Chris Casement has signed a 12-month contract extension with Championship side Ipswich.
The 20-year-old defender, who has risen through the youth ranks at Portman Road, has been rewarded for his continued development into a first-team squad member.
The Northern Ireland Under 21 international made three appearances for the Tractor Boys last season, impressing sufficiently enough during those outings to earn a new deal.
His current contract was set to expire over the summer but manager Jim Magilton confirmed that Casement will remain with the club next season.
"Chris will be with us for at least another year and I will be looking for him to really push on next season," Magilton told the club's official website.
