But Brown not willing to meet Plymouth's demands

Hull City boss Phil Brown admits he is not prepared to meet Plymouth Argyle's current asking price for Peter Halmosi. The Hungary international has emerged as a target for Hull following the club's promotion to the Premier League. Queens Park Rangers and Sheffield United have also been linked with a bid for the winger, who has impressed since joining Plymouth 18 months ago. Reports claim that Hull value Halmosi in the £2m bracket, but Plymouth are demanding a sum nearer to £3million. Brown has confirmed his interest in signing the 28-year-old and is now waiting to see if the Pilgrims lower their valuation. "He's certainly one that we'd be interested in," Brown told the Hull Daily Mail. "But we've been given a quote by Plymouth that is way above our estimation of the player." Plymouth are hoping to fend off interest in Halmosi by finalising a new contract, with the wide man having two years remaining on his current Home Park deal.
